The Patrick Dealer Group is now accepting applications for a full time BMW Body Shop Manager.  As the BMW Body Shop Manager you be instrumental in growing our Body Shop. The position will be responsible for supervising, motivating and assisting the technical staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide hands-on leadership of body shop plus shop personnel including: Body Technicians, Frame Technicians, Painters, Maintenance, Mechanics, Estimators, Assistant Managers, Car Washers and Porters.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and ordinances related to collision center
  • Initiate actions to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives.
  • Keep accurate, confidential and detailed records of any disciplinary actions taken with any production staff member.
  • Initiate or suggest plans for continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular shop meetings with all production staff and devote a portion of the time to training and education.
  • Monitor the individual performance of the production staff on a regular basis.
  • Take charge of DRP relationships and quality control
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with company standards of quality.
  • Continually inspect the work in progress
  • Supervise the maintenance and housekeeping of all production work areas and equipment.
  • Support on-going safety training with HR department.
  • Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe and that employees operate under safe working conditions.
  • Ensure customer has a positive  experience
  • Manage and Hire Technicians and Estimators
  • Maintain High CSI and Customer Follow up
  • Marketing and prospecting for developing direct repair programs
  • Distribute work between technicians
  • Prioritize required services
  • Works with customer and Body Shop Technician to identify required repair work.
  • Computes the cost of replacement parts and labor to restore the vehicle to condition specified by customer or insurance company.
  • Enters itemized estimate on the repair order and explains estimate to a customer.
  • Meets Body Shop standards for repair/order production.
  • Provide timely customer follow up
  • Maintains and supervised an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system     
  • Follows safeguards, rules, and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficiency with estimating systems and insurance direct repair guidelines 
  • Ability to lead and motivate your staff to reach common goals 
  • I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus
